Inter alia he was Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly in Namibia, Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Republic of Namibia, Moderator of United Evangelical Mission, Vice-President of the Lutheran World Federation. Currently he serves as the Minister of Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare in the Namibian Government and has multi-fold influence in Namibia, in Africa and worldwide.
