[Me and Us. Subject and Community in Worship]
Who am I in worship? What different roles do liturgists take on? And how do these roles relate to the respective personhood? On the other hand, how can ‘congregation’ be understood? And how are both poles of worship – liturgist and congregation – related and referenced to each other? This book explores these questions.
The actors in worship are examined from many angles, reflected upon from a liturgical perspective, accentuated from a cultural studies perspective, explored in depth from a historical perspective, and situated in an ecumenical context.
